Probably the most enjoyable of the notorious Atari 7800 flight games, Ace of Aces proves to be a challenging title that has a lot to offer. As a British World War II pilot, you can shoot down enemy fighters, intercept rockets, bomb U-boats, or rescue POW's. You can easily switch between six screens that provide several bits of information: Plane damage, altitude, engine speed, ammo, radar, bogey proximity, fire locations, a map, mission objectives and much more. And because normally tedious tasks like flipping console switches and landings have been omitted, Aces of Aces proves to be the most approachable first person flight game in the Pro System library. This game was designed by Nova Game Design for Atari. (Contributed by Cousin Vinnie Vineyard) |
