| The arcade version of Mat Mania was a very good wrestling game released by American Technos in 1985. Sadly, much was lost in the translation when this version was ported to the 7800 five years later. The graphics are nice and feature large detailed grapplers and a huge ring. The gameplay emulates NES' Pro Wrestling, however the lack of in-ring personality and signature moves makes the experience a very bland one. Mat Mania Challenge takes advantage of both of the Pro-Line buttons, therefore nearly a dozen moves can be pulled off in the heat of battle. (Contributed by Cousin Vinnie Vineyard) |
