Originally developed by Accolade in 1986, the same company that developed Ace of Aces, the 7800 version of this game was released in 1989. The title, Mean 18 Ultimate Golf, sounds more exciting than the actual game turned out to be. Not to say this isn’t a bad golf game at all, in fact it is much better than some popular golf games of that era. It is just a little plain. The title features only one course and golfer, but it has the typical three tap swing still being used in golf games today like Hot Shots and Mario Golf. The most talked about aspect of Mean 18 is its rarity. Some consider it to be the second rarest title in the library. (Contributed by Cousin Vinnie Vineyard) |
